Devizes is a popular market town which has been the subject of considerable residential development over recent years and has an expanding community area population of circa 32,000 (2011 census) . Nearby towns within easy reach of Devizes include Chippenham 11 miles, Swindon 18 miles and Salisbury 25 miles. Junction 16 and 17 of the M4 are located approximately 12 miles to the north.
